The Certified Crisis Management Professional (CCMP®) is the definitive Level 5 certification for professionals responsible for preparing, leading or supporting their organisation's crisis management function. This practical, scenario-based programme is designed to move beyond theory — equipping you with the advanced skills in crisis leadership, communication and decision-making needed to perform effectively under pressure.
Whether you're building a crisis framework from the ground up or refining an existing programme, this course will provide you with the tools and confidence to protect your organisation's people, assets and reputation.

How it's delivered
The in-person course runs over 5 consecutive days — a focused, immersive learning experience, followed by a period of supported self-study with guidance from a dedicated tutor to embed learning in practice.
The distance learning option offers greater flexibility and is typically completed over 3 to 6 months. You'll have up to 12 months to complete the programme if needed, balancing study with professional commitments while maintaining the same standard.
How it's assessed
Assessment is by a written assignment of up to 3,000 words, completed after the course. Students receive ongoing support and guidance from tutors to assist with successful completion.
You have up to 12 months from the end of the course to submit your completed assignment.
Recognition & certification


Receive the CCMP® certificate from Oakwood Risk Training plus the Certificate in Crisis Management at QLS Level 5, issued by the Skills and Education Group via the Quality Licence Scheme.
Eligible for ELCAS funding — a nationally recognised pathway for serving and former UK Armed Forces personnel into crisis management roles across corporate, public sector and critical national infrastructure.
Part of the Emerging Risks Global Crisis Resilience Professional Pathway (CRRP). Graduates become members of the Crisis Resilience Professionals Guild — a global body of practitioners.
